Hi, I’m Sallie-Grace Tate!

It is hard to imagine a more exciting time to be working in this space I call women and philanthropy. Society is shifting in profound ways. The time for growing women’s giving initiatives and highlighting the changing faces of philanthropy is right and replete with countless opportunities. Momentum is building. The research trends are convincing. Organizations are asking questions and exploring how to “do fundraising better” and “better” begins with recognizing the power and passion of women to bring about change.

With more than 20 years of experience as a trusted relationship-builder, fundraiser and program creator, I offer extensive expertise of fundraising and an expanding knowledge of women as philanthropists, leaders and volunteers. With a focus on major gifts, I have worked closely with women and men of all ages, individually and as couples, to explore their philanthropic interests and determine the impact they aspire for their generous contributions.

Sallie-Grace has done a remarkable job of creating a Women & Philanthropy program from scratch at UC Davis. In doing so, she has worked collaboratively across many units and layers on the campus to build one of the strongest board of volunteers ever assembled at the institution. This diverse group of women leaders has achieved remarkable results, in short order, in engaging a larger body of women to be more interested in philanthropy and the university in general.
